![]() ![]() There are converter thingies you can buy so you can use a seperate mic/headphone combination on a phone input, like this: The plugs are compatible with each other as they all have the same length, and the non-working lines are simply connected to ground, meaning nothing is on that line. The TRRS has three signals: left, right and your microphone input (which is mono). The TRS has two signals: left and right for your headphones. ![]() It's sometimes found on simple portable amps for electric guitars nowadays. Then for each signal you need a seperate line. Sleeve is just the ground, where the current goes. Here you'll see the different plugs next to each other: Mobiles, tablets, and even some laptops (like my lenovo) have the TRRS (combined) input. ![]()
